DATAG 2026 Summer Conference

The Director of Information and Technology and well as the Director of Registration and Special Projects will speak to the idea of breaking down the silos in education and fostering collaboration with technology software, district data, and curriculum and instruction.

This is a guide as to how to take state testing data and present it to all concerned groups such as teachers, building administrators, central administration, and the Board of Education

In an era of rapidly evolving AI tools, districts must ensure that data use remains purposeful, ethical, and centered on student learning. This session explores a human-driven, data-informed approach to decision-making, highlighting how tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google NotebookLM can support educators in identifying trends, summarizing data, and generating instructional ideas using their own district resources. Building on the Student Data Principles, participants will examine how to responsibly integrate AI into existing systems while moving from data collection to meaningful instructional action.

This workshop will dive into economical, efficient and exciting strategies to building data culture, consuming data and accelerating student learning. Participants will leave with a roadmap ready for immediate implementation. This workshop is designed for district leaders, school leaders, teachers and data enthusiasts with children.

On many data teams, critical information isn’t missing; it’s just hard to find. Guidance, reporting timelines, templates, and training materials are often buried in email threads, scattered across shared drives, or siloed in personal files. Additionally, many rely on individually bookmarked sites and links, which can lead to inconsistent access and ongoing maintenance as content changes.

The challenge is not a lack of information, but a lack of organization and visibility.

This session focuses on bringing those pieces together into a centralized, structured hub using Google Sites. We will explore how to create and design a site using pages, buttons, links, and embedded content to organize resources in a way that is easy to maintain and scale over time. Participants will leave with access to a sample site structure that can be customized to meet their team’s specific needs.

By creating a cohesive, user-friendly system, teams can move from scattered searching to streamlined access, saving time and strengthening data-informed practices.

Participants with a Google account and some familiarity with Google Drive and related tools are encouraged to bring a laptop and follow along during the hands-on portion, though all are welcome to attend and engage in a way that works best for them.
