Dr. Ebony E. Prophet-Bullock has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and leading in the Buffalo City School District (BCSD). She holds certifications from New York State for teaching and leadership at both the school and district levels, and while pursuing her Master’s in education, she earned a certification for teaching and leading for diversity from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In June 2015, she was among the first cohort of school leaders to earn an Outside Educational Expert credential from the New York State Education Department. During the Corona Pandemic crisis, she decided to return to the classroom to earn her Doctor of Education degree in Education Policy Leadership. In her current role as the BCSD Chief Accountability and Information Officer, she oversees initiatives that aim to improve the culturally appropriate and effective use of data to drive decision making, teacher and leader effectiveness, and overall school and district effectiveness. Lastly, over the last three years, Dr. Prophet -Bullock began teaching pre-service teachers and school leaders as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her mission is to advance the moral imperative of education that all children can and must learn by applying an equity and social justice overlay in all aspects of her work. However, her most proud accomplishment is that of being a wife to her husband Izeal Bullock III and a mother to Xaiver Riley, Brooklyn Bullock, and Izeal Bullock IV.
